Not at all. Every portrait is individually reviewed, manually refined, and personally curated before delivery. No image leaves the studio without a final quality-control review. Our goal is a photorealistic editorial finish that preserves natural skin texture, facial dimension, and realistic detail while creating a polished, luxury result. Because every portrait is crafted and refined by hand, we intentionally accept only a limited number of commissions per day.

No. Portfolio images are provided as style references. Final portraits are customized to each client and will vary based on individual features, proportions, and characteristics while staying true to the aesthetic of the selected collection.

We recommend 2–5 clear photos.

Clear photos where your face is fully visible work best. For the best results, we recommend including:

• At least one clear front-facing photo
• At least one full-length photo for full-body portraits
• At least one 3/4 photo from approximately navel level and above

Heavy filters should be avoided, but makeup is welcome.

Yes. A neutral expression or soft smile works best for the luxury editorial style featured throughout our collections. Photos with exaggerated expressions or visible laughter may not produce the intended aesthetic.

Photos may be declined if they are blurry, extremely dark, heavily filtered, obstructed by hair, hands, or sunglasses, or contain content that doesn't align with our brand standards.

If your submitted photos do not meet our photo requirements, we will contact you and request replacement photos. Customers may submit replacement photos up to two times at no additional charge. If suitable photos still cannot be provided after two replacement attempts, your order will be refunded, less a $4.99 processing fee. We are committed to helping you submit the strongest possible photo and will work with you throughout the review process whenever needed.

Photos are reviewed within 24 hours. Portraits are typically delivered within 48–72 hours after photo approval. Rush Delivery is available for select orders.

All portraits are delivered through Google Drive. A download link will be sent to the email address provided during checkout.

Files remain available for 30 days after delivery and are automatically deleted thereafter. We recommend downloading and saving your files immediately upon receipt.

Some social media platforms and messaging apps may compress images during sharing. We recommend saving originals before sharing.

No. Granting permission allows THE BLACK LUXE EDIT™ to feature your images on our website, social media channels, and marketing materials, but it does not guarantee that they will be shared. Featured content is selected based on our creative, editorial, and marketing needs at the time.
